Portland / Vancouver Job Seekers Conference March 12th

In response to the sky rocketing unemployment numbers, we are putting on a series of Job Seekers Conferences. The next session is on March 12, 2009. We ask that you consider this forward this to anyone who is currently unemployed and could use assistance.

Our goal is to provide crucial tools and critical information to better compete for jobs in this aggressive and competitive market. Human Resource Manager will present what employers are looking for in cover letters, resumes, and interviews. An expert will provide essential information to effectively find positions on national, local, and industry job search sites, (e.g., Career Builders, Indeed, and Monster) and learn how to get a powerful advantage through building your virtual and people network.

Additional important and valuable presentations:

· State recruiter on over 300 government jobs

· Former Microsoft affiliate on the options of self employment

· Question and Answers to the recruiters

· Answers to your questions about health insurance during your transition

There nominal fee. However, it is discounted approximately 70% if you are currently unemployed or underemployed. An additional 15% is taken off for those who mention the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Next Session:

March 12, 2009
9 am to 12:30 pm
IQ’s Super Conference Room
Vancouver, Washington

FYI - Reason we developed this conference is because Job Seekers are telling us:

Frustrated with the time consuming process of rewriting and tailoring each cover letter and resume for each job and not knowing their application was even received. Do not understand what the hiring managers are looking for in the application process. Like to better understand how to use the job search sites uncover those hard to find positions. Not sure how to expand their networking circle to help get referred to posted and unposted internal jobs. Wonder if self employment is something to consider. Concerned about not having health care during this transition.
