The Allstate Foundation-Northwest Region

Vancouver Allstate Agent Awarded for Volunteerism
$500 Grant Presented to American Diabetes Association

Vancouver, WA – August 19, 2008 Keith Hallett of Vancouver was recently awarded an Agency Hands in the Community Award for his commitment to volunteering in the local community. With this award comes a $500 grant from The Allstate Foundation to the non-profit organization at which he volunteers.

Hallett volunteers with the American Diabetes Association where he has organized community volunteers, and has spoken to school classrooms about healthy eating.

“Allstate believes that it is very important for corporations to take an active interest in the communities they serve. Allstate is proud to support such worthwhile causes through the Allstate Foundation,” said Michelle Lee, vice president for Allstate’s Northwest Region. “The grant from the Allstate Foundation will provide much needed support for the American Diabetes Association.”

The grants are part of Allstate’s “Agency Hands in the Community” program. Allstate agents and financial specialists are recognized for their outstanding commitment to community service with a $500 donation to the charitable organization where they volunteer. To qualify for the grant, agents must show evidence of volunteer work that has had a positive impact on the local community.

Allstate Insurance Company’s Northwest Region supports a network of agencies that serve households in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii. These agencies provide a large variety of insurance and financial products. Agents and employees of the Northwest Region have a long, proud history of supporting the communities where they live and do business through volunteerism and charitable contributions.
